Computer Systems Engineers

Computer systems engineers integrate hardware and software systems as solutions for technical problems. Computer systems engineers create and develop:

  • super computers,
  • game engines,
  • car safety systems,
  • medical monitoring equipment,
  • pace makers,
  • aviation control systems,
  • robots
  • process control systems for manufacturing,
  • cell phones

Computer software engineers create and develop programs and systems that control computers. Computer hardware engineers create and develop the hardware components such as: computer chips, circuit boards and keyboards. The technological advancement in recent years is due the research, design and development efforts of computer hardware  engineers.
